This PRS SE Santana was played by my buddy in our band for years. As fine player, he put a lot of mojo into it. I intend to get some of that out of it. He passed away last year and this wound up with non-deserving me. I also got the 2 Lab Series L7s from him.

My buddy was a very kind, self-made man. A monster player of guitar & bass. His passing left a big hole in our hearts and bands...he was in a few.

20 years ago he was treated for prostate cancer. Things went ok until a couple years ago...then it boiled up in him again, and despite recent treatments, it spread throughout him. He was the player & rocker until 10 days before he died.

This is his "flagship" song that he wrote & recorded prior to my appearance in the band. He did all the guitar work.

That makes 3 buddies I lost last year to cancer. I, myself am probably 99.?% cancer-free from 2 years ago, after much chemo, immuno, surgery, and radiation. I am on disability, yet feel like a professional patient with not so much patience. My doc is doing regular checks for any re-occurrence. We are all mortal types.

Thanks for sharing, and sorry for your loss mate.
Good tune as well!

Excellent track. Cancer sucks. Went through it in '15. Now dealing with a hereditary blood disease (hemochromatosis) and it's aftermath. Everything is sort of in check, but still messes with your head. Trying to stay positive, do all the right stuff, and stick around for a long time.
