NGD: Firefly FFLV Flying V

Great looking axe at an amazing price. Fitting in a Firebird bag is a bonus.
Is the whole body a little smaller than a Gibson, or just the one wing?

One bout is shorter
From the neck end strap button to the point on the bass side is 20 1/4", to the treble side is 19 1/4".
I dont know the Gibson dimensions.
I am not stuck on an exact Gibson replica.

I'm really liking this guitar so far, but like any new toy this is the honeymoon period.
Besides working the nut slots , it doesnt need any upgrades, again pickups are subjective.

Then only thing not 100% is the neck back angle is a little shallow. The result is the action height doesnt go down to where it buzzes out.
The treble side is down all the way an it is right around where I like it (I dont usually measure).
So, there is no problem - just an observation of the available range.

It does bug me a little and I may grind a little off the bottom of the bridge, just because.

So, after the honeymoon period some of my other guitars are getting played again.
Just because I like them too.

I am still amazed this cheap guitar is so good.
I should have grabbed an Explorer type while they had them.

They have some new ones: PRS, Firebird, Jazzmaster styles, and a few more.
The 3 mini hum Firebirds sold quick and are gone from the site.

I dont recall if I put the link earlier:

Really eyeballing the cream Jazzmaster....

I dont need any more either.
I dont keep GASsing for more guitars in general, but am still up to try different types.
I have one of several different types and 4 LP types, one of which will be sold.
The 3 LP - one is a P90 jr and the other two are 2 HB.

Anything I just dont really bond with, or in the LP case, is truly redundant, gets sold.

I have a beautiful Epiphone ES339 Pro in red, but the spalted maple Firefly will go so well with my spalted maple SG.

So, you DO need it!

It is subjective. For me it is sonic variety, and the path to finding MY tone, and what feels right in my hands (and my back).

Of course, I'll have to learn to actually play the darned things, which is my main focus. I'm somewhere in the 'intermediate player' category I suppose, at about 7 1/2 years in. I'm not a natural; even the "easy" things have been hard for me, but I enjoy it.

I usually play the same one for several days or a few weeks before the mood strikes to shift gears. I also think switching more often detracts from my focus. When I do switch, it is somewhat of a new guitar day! If I dont get that "Man, I really like this guitar!" thought or feeling, it may be time to sell.

I have a typical style tele and SSS strat, 1 P90 LP jr, the other LPs, an SG with 2 HB (some A2 or A5 magnet PAFs, some more modern PAFish), a shreddy higher output bridge HB HSS w/Floyd, the new Vee, a semi hollow with a Gretsch Filtertron bridge pickup, 1 acoustic, and the Firefly Jazzmaster style incoming I have yet to explain to the wife.

And a beater bass. I love playing bass!
Still a beginner there, but am digging it.

Plenty others have come and gone.
Some of these may go as well, if I've "lost that lovin' feeeeeling".

Ha ha! Just because I own a few guitars and a few amps, does not mean I know how to play them, I'm more of a collector... A collector of cheap guitars. I. E the title of POSGO Founder (Piece Of S#!t Guitar Owners) as well as SGPO President (Sucky Guitar Players Organization)
