Been looking for a decent budget V for a few years now, came across this on another forum.

Overall good fit and finish, hardware is ok, full size pots.
24 3/4" scale. Ceramic HB at @ 9.?k neck and 13.?k, dont recall exactly.
Measured at cable plugged into jack with vols and tone at 10; not pickups disconnected.
I dont hate or love them, usable and ok for now.

I would like to try a T-top type bridge pickup; early M. Schenker ish deal.

The nut needed some file work. Now strung with Martin Darco 10-46; stays in tune well.
Trying not to buy PRC, but for under $250. to my door, I have a V.

And - it fits in the Gibson Firebird gig bag I had listed for sale locally with no takers.

More detailed review over on AGF.

Looks nice. You’ll want to get a cable with a 90 degree plug in order to play that sitting down. My V2 has the jack in the same place. Even with an angled plug, it’s not very comfortable with it poking your leg.
I have 2 v’s that have the Jack in a similar spot, great for when you are standing up and playing but you are right about needing a 90 degree plug. Otherwise you are just asking for trouble.

Did I see the price correctly?

$210.00 for a set neck V. Wow.

Man, beginners have it so good in these modern times.

I would have been so overjoyed to have something like that when starting out. I paid $150.00 +/- for a Fender bullet that was not the best player, especially when you're just developing hand strength, coordination etc...

Cool NGD, enjoy the new toy.

Hngd , I have a silver one . I like the color.

Great looking axe at an amazing price. Fitting in a Firebird bag is a bonus.
Is the whole body a little smaller than a Gibson, or just the one wing?

Never really liked Gibson's control placement for Vees, neither the original nor the 70s version.
Knobs on this one are sensibly located - first control is the bridge volume, right?

Iconic rock look. Nice score.

I dont know how the body size compares. The only other V I have held or played is @chilipeppermaniac Jackson RR3.

I forgot to mention, the frets are a medium or medium jumbo maybe?, not the super jumbo.
I find I like the medium range better.

The pot placement concerned me a little with the first one very close to the bridge pickup. Not an issue at all.
That first one is neck vol, then bridge vol, then shared tone.

It is a solid player; I cant find anything "wrong" about it.
I am undecided on the pickups. I dont hate them, but dont love them.
I will give it some time, and I may try a magnet swap first.

I would like to try a T-top type bridge pickup here, or go in the other direction and maybe a super distortion, or JB.
