Question. Shall I do the 2 piece bridge and cover the dowels as much as possible or do a wrap tail and have the 2 rear dowels fully exposed?

I’d do the bridge and stop tail.

Or, you could do a Bigsby and hide a lot.

IMO, don't cover the top at all. Gold hardware would look nice.

&, as Sysco says/implies/suggests (or am I just imagining), wood on wood sometimes is a bit OTT (although sometimes looks amazing).

Sorry, I read that, memory lapse - it is a good idea. & yes, 3 would most likely best suit the body wood in that case.

I'm glad your guitar project is coming along well so far. That's good you have a nice tight fit with the neck in the neck pocket. Better contact means better tone transfer and your guitar will ring for days! Those veneers for the PG look all good. I sort of like #4 but a PGless option would also work unless you're trying to cover the dowels. I can't wait to see the end result. The guitar will be so much fun to play because you put it together yourself and you put so much time into the guitar to make it to your liking. Keep up the good work Ray.

The new necks have been stained, leveled, crowned, tapped for import tuners, and treated to 5 coats of true oil so far. I am happy with how they are coming
