I had to narrow the neck to get it to fit. According to the builder, it is a strat shaped neck pocket. However, I had him space the bridge for 24.75 scale, so a standard strat neck is no good, and would look whacky on this guitar anywayNow I'm wondering again.... How wide is the neck at 22nd fret? My LP is 2.217" at that fret. The pocket is either unusually wide, or that neck is extra narrow at the heel

I know pics can be deceiving, but it looks here like the strings are running straight along the neck & the pickup is quite a way "off". Can the bridge be moved that far without the high E falling off the neck? I do admire your perseverance. The guy that did these sure knows how to f_ _k up a really nice piece of wood. CheersI successfully relocated the neck, so I won a battle. Unfotunately, the strings will be too far off the pole pieces, so I am back to moving the bridge. Now I need walnut dowels!

Here is a close up of the neck shift

The only reason the strings are in line with the neck is because it is altered. I routed the back of the neck to shift it to the bass side by about 8mm. When I shift it back, the low E is off the board, but the strings line up over the pickups. I can use a normal neck and have it line up over the pickups if I move the bridgeI know pics can be deceiving, but it looks here like the strings are running straight along the neck & the pickup is quite a way "off". Damn that is some mighty fine looking fire wood. Such a beautiful finish job you are doing. You might have a point. It looks like the pickup routes might be off, even if I shifted the bridge to the treble side. I smell firewood.

I hope it will not be a bust, but it will be "special"!Nice work and I agree, take the value in learning and experience even if the project is a bust.
