Hey RVA... Is this a personal optical illusion of mind that I'm encountering, or is the vertical alignment from the neck to the bridge, like way off?

The ABR bridge is angled. Remember, this started as a wrap-around bridge and he angled it intentionally for intonation purposes. I did my best to make the tail piece straight. We shall see what happens when it gets some strings!

If it intonated correctly, I doubt any of these imperfections will matter.

The lateral angle of the neck pocket is so far off that the low E string has barely any fretboard underneath it. In fact, closer to the body, it’s almost hanging over nothing.

This is essentially unplayable.

Yes. I see that now. I didn't pay close attention to this image with the strings on it when I commented - I was looking at the one with the red lines drawn on it.

If the neck is squared, you could plug/drill to shift the bridge and tailpiece, but its a lot of work.

Whose body is this???
