NIce bike......
Still -- lacking on its earlier siblings --
Triumph "HAD" it right in 2005 w/ the Tiger 955i great balance of power to weight -- torque -- size and function few "gadgets" or electronica as "simple" as a fuel injected bike can be I guess. (Its no kick start 650 thumper for sure -- but its low in "techie" terms)
THEN -- they split the Tiger into a Smaller 800 version and a 1200 .......
the 1200 gained shaft final drive (im not a fan) about 90lbs in weight/mass.....and not MUCH in hp gains for the added bulk
the 800 was underpowered and light to me (great for smaller riders though)-- Ive not tried the 850....but doubt at its PRICE POINT it would give me "gas"
the COST of them newer ones is astronomical
1200 cc model is between 16 and 20k
850 cc model 12-14k
compared to a good low mileage (if you can find one) 2005 or 2006 model
add very inexpensive remapping and exhaust upgrades can net you one of these that is 470lbs with 128 hp and can be had for (between 3 and 4k )
