New Member Intro

Apparently I can't post until I introduce myself. This seems like a logical place.

I have some hearing loss from standing in front of guitar amps, but I'm not really deaf. My name isn't Dave. There is only one of me. Other than that, my handle is pretty accurate.

I've been at thermionic valve electronics for a long time.

I took some EE in college, but that wasn't my major and they refused to discuss anything having to do with tubes.

I have more amplifiers than you.
Welcome in, Dave :cheers2:

I have a couple of hundred 741 Opamps still in the tubes. Do they count? :run:

AND WELCOME, NOT DAVE.
I have several rails (tubes) of op amps, but not 200. I have 2-741's, 10-LM224's (quads for a total of 40 op amps), 32-LF353's (duals for a total of 64 op amps), 11-LM258's (duals for a total of 22), and 12-NE5532's (duals for a total of 24 op amps). Then I have some IC power amps and IC audio pre-amplifiers. Still less than 200 amps, I guess.

I would ask you what in the world you are doing with 200 741's, but here I am with 152 op amps.

Thanks for the welcome.

Let's see the amp collection! Always welcome!

I don't have a huge collection and simply do not have room or need for a bunch of half stacks.
Most do get played out though. I like having a variety.
Last family pic has changed, I ditched the 6505 combo amd Traynor YCS100 head, added a Mesa Mark V 35 combo, TC100 head and a Traynor YCS4050 Anniversay combo.

I was never that much of an ELP fan, but it saddened me when Keith went out like that.

Thanks for the welcome.
Been an ELP fan since I bought the 3 record Live album way back in the early 70s. At the end of their career got to see them in a little 2600 seat theater in Davenport Ia. Like you. Bummed about Keith. He was pretty much my introduction to Moog. Him and Rick Waksman. Was sad his demons finally won. Lake passing away from cancer did get to me.

Welcome Dave.
You must have quite a pile of amps to assure you have more than anyone else here! Some have some pretty decent collections. Let's see some pics!
Cheers!
I just said that to spark you guys up. Seems to have worked. I'm sure there are plenty of people with more amps than me.

I don't know the rules on file sizes and max per post and things, so I guess I'll just see what happens. Here is one that not everyone has.
