It has Abalone binding, mahogany and maple, made in Japan. I have never played an Iceman I think they are "cool".

Don't like Tele shape, don't like single coils. Easy peasy

Single coils are still hummy and buzzy. I will gladly await my Paul Stanley Iceman! The single coils sound good when you crank the volume, but the best feature of all is you can split them in any configuration, to give that fat humbucker tones , That's where this baby shines! Neck is very good, just a well made, thought out Tele. Pickup tones are awesome. Even the single coils sound great if you roll down the tone . I haven't heard singles sound this good on any other Fender Tele i have played.
I was drawn to this guitar from the time i started playing it. Very good reviews on this guitar. I like the Tele shape, . The reason I bought this Fender Tele was it looked great, it has those humbucker tones, which i could never find in another fender tele, and its a smooth player, and has the kind of hardware that i prefer.

I really depends. My MIM Strat does not get hummy and buzzy. Now. I did swap pups after one died. Used that as an excuse to replace all three. So I may have just got lucky in the noise canceling department.Single coils are still hummy and buzzy. I will gladly await my Paul Stanley Iceman!
Using one at a time? No humbucker?I really depends. My MIM Strat does not get hummy and buzzy. Now. I did swap pups after one died. Used that as an excuse to replace all three. So I may have just got lucky in the noise canceling department.
Next time I change strings I think I’m gonna pull it apart and copper tape the pup and control cavity.
