I like how versatile that model is. Still not a huge fan of the control layout on a traditional Tele but ever since I discoverd the Tele Deluxe I realized I was just choosing the wrong Fenders all these years, after owning scores of Strats and Teles and never getting completely comfortable on either. Now I have two, and been playing them more than the Les Pauls since getting them...

BTW the white one now has black knobs. The ivory knobs could not be condoned.

Oh, and if anyone is curious, you definitely know where your extra money went with the US-made one (white). Nothing wrong with the MiM, but the American Pro one is a step or two up in every way. It's quality is right up there with CS Fenders I have owned.

Don't like Tele shape, don't like single coils. Easy peasy

The single coils sound good when you crank the volume, but the best feature of all is you can split them in any configuration, to give that fat humbucker tones , That's where this baby shines! Neck is very good, just a well made, thought out Tele. Pickup tones are awesome. Even the single coils sound great if you roll down the tone . I haven't heard singles sound this good on any other Fender Tele i have played.

I was drawn to this guitar from the time i started playing it. Very good reviews on this guitar. I like the Tele shape, . The reason I bought this Fender Tele was it looked great, it has those humbucker tones, which i could never find in another fender tele, and its a smooth player, and has the kind of hardware that i prefer.

Single coils are still hummy and buzzy. I will gladly await my Paul Stanley Iceman!

I really depends. My MIM Strat does not get hummy and buzzy. Now. I did swap pups after one died. Used that as an excuse to replace all three. So I may have just got lucky in the noise canceling department.

Next time I change strings I think I’m gonna pull it apart and copper tape the pup and control cavity.

Using one at a time? No humbucker?
Still, I never use single coil and hate Teles. So.... bring on the Iceman!!
