I once woke up on Saturday morning about 10 years ago and decided I was tired of looking at the ugly ass finish on my LP Tribute and before I even really gave it any thought I had stripped the hardware and pickups and sanded the whole thing down...all of it. @Far Rider probably remembers that.

I still have it, I'm thinking I should sell it, but I can't bring myself to do it yet. I've had it longer than any guitar I've ever owned by several years.

I final sanded the neck and then sealed it with teak oil (boiled linseed)

Tonight I had a bunch of whiskey and wired in a black winter I had on the shelf..... Nope! Not a good tone ....
. Put the original back on and apparently I'm too drunk to solder ha ha ha will fix it tomorrow.
