I'll raise you a 4 bolt main, Cola Steel Crank, Carillo Rodded Pontiac 413 (dressed in 455 regalia) with that made 422 RWHP with a Q-Jet on a dual plane intake....Camshaft was my own design, ground by our old sponsor Tim Goolsby at Bullet Cams with a custom firing order.

I can't even fathom having enough disposable income to buy the wheels and tires that could handle this engine let alone build a complete car to make it actually go. WOAH. Are you hiring? Trident

The safety rules of NHRA are nuts, but it does save lives as I can attest to that after a mishap I had some years back, all mechanical that caused it...4 bolt main=SOLID

I understand Sponsorship, but woah, in 1986 I met a local Md Drag Racer. He showed me one steering/suspension part for his dragster. Asked me how much I thought it cost. It was something like 2k back then. The car I was driving at the time cost my stepdad something like $1600 for the whole car back in 1972 when he bought it.

Absolutely!!!

El Mirage isnt NHRA. Its SCTA. It's two, back to back top speed runs over a "flying mile." Below a certain speed, you dont have to possess a roll cage. I "sandbagged" and entered the car in a low speed class....
