Usual disclaimer: "I'm no expert, but..."

Cliff Claven would say: "There's a good chance of air leakage like a stinker through a tight sphincter, and negative resonance." Yup, for a proper back panel seal for a closed-back cab, all the perimeter edges of the panel need to have a good seal. I've never seen a closed-back speaker cab without this construction feature... including the 2 cabs I have.

You can leave it as is, and hear and feel it for yourself by putting your hand at the back of the cab. And while you or anybody else is playing, you might notice some moving air escaping thru the areas where there is no support. Especially the louder you play. You can always cut to measure, more cleats to fill in the gaps if you want to find out for yourself if there's any substance to what I'm blabbing about. If you do add more cleats, make sure there's some glue to seal in between the cleats.

Peacocks can be a crazy-ass bird. I remember making deliveries to a swanky vineyard with a very upscale lodging facility. All you would see in their parking lot would be Mercedes, BMWs, Porches, Lexuseseses, etc. They also had a pair of adult Peacocks that lived and roamed there, too. Everytime I pulled up, the pair of Peacocks would be walking around in the parking lot. The Vineyard finally had to get rid of them. The male peacock would see its reflection on the cars, and quite a few times it would attack the cars. Sometimes while standing on top of the cars roof. They can do a lot of damage.

Very very nice, RVA. My compliments to the Clan....

I got another idea... yes I do...
I'm thinking, that if you paint the front of the speaker baffle black, that'll make that very cool grill cloth pop even more. I would suggest the same for the frame of the grill cloth, but that would be a lot of extra work. The combination of the Panama Amp and the colors of the speaker cab is way cool. Crank it... :dood:
