Nerd/Zep alert - Gretta Van Fleet on SNL tonight

It's a challenge. We're all trying to like GVF. It's not very easy.

We mostly like the trend.

I love the stuff that Greta Van Fleet has come out with. I love the energy. I love the classic 'Zeppe' vibe. I love that Jake Kiszka plays 'traditional' guitars and plays melodically, as opposed to showing a "Three Chord - No Solo" alternative/grunge style influence. . I love the blues-based rock big time.

I've had bad performances, but just performing on SNL is a big deal. Getting invited to Elton John's Oscar Party is also a big deal. I guess that I am a bit sympathetic because I have been the one on the stage on those "Off-Nights" when it all went to hell in a hand-basket sonically...I'd love to have a bad SNL performance.... :-)

yep age is awesome
You cats should have heard Adrian & I trying to climb up onto our barstools last Friday.
A series of creaks, pops & groans, followed by a sigh of satisfaction and relief, when we finally got positioned.

God help us when we get OLD.

See, that's how I feel too.

I like Greta van Fleet and have even made enemies in other forums because of that, believe me or not (not on my part, though: some people just can't accept that some folks actually like new rock).

Of course, I do know that they aren't anything new or special, but it just happens that I am a Led Zep maniac, and one of the things I miss the most in music is new Zep stuff to discover.

They deliver something that's close enough.

Very well said from a performing artists point of view! All most of us could hear was the bad vocals on that one night.

I do like these guys and hope for their future, but that singer needs to learn how to dress...

Seriously, I have purchased both their albums and I don't just randomly drop $$$ on Vinyl...
