I just got a knock on my door from the neighbor. He wants me to keep the “guitar noise” down.

I stop playing at 9 which is well before the 10pm cut off.
I never play loud past 8 and if I do play til 9 it’s really low.
Now it’s on!
He freakin called it guitar noise!!!
NOISE?!?!?
I just got a new EVH Phaser pedal.
He has no idea what noise is.
I think my 5150iii into my 412 aimed at his wall while I practice Eruption is the order of the day.
We all know I suck at finger tapping. I think it’s time to sharpen that still for the next 2 hours.

What a douche!!

I remember a long time ago going camping with my wife at the time.
We stopped at a nice site, setup, got drunk and went to sleep.
The next morning (very early) some A$$hat pulled into the site next to us.
He had some crap music blaring out his car at ridiculously loud volume as he setup.
I calmly got up, opened the doors to my '72 Volks van, pulled out my two massive speakers on long cables, and placed them right next to his site.
I then put on Rock Lobster at FULL VOLUME and waited...
Dude went to his car and turned off his crap music.
I therefore turned off Rock Lobster, and went back to bed.

I bought this little shack because it’s an amphitheater essentially, aimed directly at 2000 acres of wildlife management swampland. The nearest neighbor in that direction is well over a mile away, through swamp and forest land. All I really “had” to do to keep the noise from escaping to the front or sides of the house was properly insulate and install a low profile drop ceiling using decent quality acoustic tiling. The only time the authorities have approached during a “band activity” was when we were unloading from gigs at 3am…they were only curious of the open vehicles with one person standing watch while we were offloading.
The only reaction I’ve ever had from next door neighbor, was them moving their chairs further out in their backyard so they could hear.

Lol if only I lived closer, Id bring some gear and help you give this douchebag some real noise pollution. Anyone who comes to my door better have Girl Scout Cookies, a FedEx/UPS delivery or a warrant. If you come knocking with a complaint? It's fair game on them.
