Mojotone Imperial Slant 212. Kind of a cross between the Marshall 1966 and 2061 cabs at 24"x26"x14". It sounds huge. I loaded it with Creambacks to start with and so far it does not disappoint!

Very soon I'm going to have a new head shell made for my Lil' Devil, black with gold piping, to match. I'm over the white.

It already matches the 5150.

Happy new cabinet day! I'm sure the speakers will get better after you put a ton of playing hours on them.
I've actually had the speakers for a while now, but only playing at low volume it's going to take a while to break them in. I'm also not sure they're going to stay, I just wanted something familiar to start with so I could judge how the cab itself sounds. I have several speakers on hand and I'm sure I'll be experimenting.

That is some kind of superfanfrikkentacularistic shizz right there!!! Congratulations on the new cab!…and much yes to the expulsion of the head cab color.
I've already talked with Bob at Sourmash about it. He made my white cab about 10 or 11 years ago. It had to be made deeper than his standard 18 watt head shell to accommodate my chassis. He said it'd be no problem to make another one for me.

Ok so, this cab sounds huge, very deep, I'm not used to that. I've read where people say that Creambacks sound muffled and dark, like a blanket over them. I've not experienced that with them, but after playing it for a while, I think I get what they mean. I removed them completely (for now) and tried a couple of speaker combinations. First was WGS's recommendation of a ET65 paired with a Veteran 30. That was not good, very fizzy, bright and thin like I experienced before in my MX cab. So I took them out and put in a G12C Greenback with a 70th Anniversary H-30. That sounds pretty good, I think the Greenback might stay, but I'm not so sure about the H-30. I'll try pairing a Creamback with the Greenback like I should have done to begin with because I liked that combo in my MX cab, but not now, I'm done playing around for tonight.

ET65 with the G12C Greenback tomorrow? Then the GB&CB?
Maybe ET65/CB, then GB/CB, then GB/ET65?
Dunno…you have too much good stuff…maybe send me a couple…

I'll probably be trying all that. Once I settle on what I like best I'm gonna be selling off the rest. Gotta fund my next guitar purchase...a Gold Top LP with P90s. :fingersx: It's going to happen 2025!

Speakers I have on hand are:

2 Creamback 65's
Creamback 75
G12C (Hendrix) Greenback
70th Anni H-30
WGS ET-65
WGS Veteran 30
Vintage '82 White label G12T-75
Alnico Blue
Jensen NightHawk

I think that's all of them.

I'm kicking myself in the ass for not buying the second G12C Greenback the guy I bought my last one had. He listed it the same day I bought mine but offered it to me before he listed it. I turned it down because I didn't know if I would like the one I hadn't even gotten yet and didn't want to spend the extra money for something I didn't even know if I would like. It sold in no time and I haven't found another one for that price since. I can't find one for sale anywhere ATM.

The brand is high quality and has quite a positive following.. . That's fancy to this knuckle dragger ha ha.

Gotcha. Truth is I didn't want to go fancy, but Marshall cabs weren't shipping and I couldn't find what I wanted used. Granted, I paid almost as much for the unloaded cab as I would have for a new Marshall cab, but I would have swapped the speakers out anyway so it all evened out really. It's the new Marshall distributers fault I went fancy.

Well I have to say I'm very disappointed that this cab doesn't like my beloved Creamback 65s...at all. :squint: They are my favorite speaker in every other cab I've had them in, but in this cab they're lifeless, kind of muddy and dark.

A Creamback 75 is better, but I'm not sold on it yet. Right now I have my Creamback 75 paired with a 70th Anni H-30 and it sounds pretty damn good. Best combo I've tried yet.

Is the H30 a 30 watt? That makes it a 60 watt cab which is more than enough given your playing situation.

With my amps and cabs, I feel the H-75's are smoother and a little darker than the M-65's.
I have the 65's in the cherry cabs with the JTM45 and I think it brightens that amp up.
Not sure why you're getting the results you describe.

I have my H30 Anni's in the $#!+ Code cabs for one of my O20's and I think they liven up that rig.
If you're liking the H-75 and the Anni, I'd suggest trying the G12C in with the Anni.
