While I was looking for Acoustic-Electrics and $245 Rigs, I saw this ad on my phone and the picture made me stop and stare:
I thought "Man, that's gorgeous! Where was that color when I bought my SR305e PW?"
I started to scroll on and keep looking for what I was originally hunting, but stopped to show the picture to my wife. She gasped and said "That's STUNNING! Are you going to buy it?" I told her I didn't need one, and if I did I'd have to sell the white one I just bought and take a loss, blah blah blah. She was like, "yeah, but that thing is just gorgeous - you should buy it."
So, like any good husband, you don't have to tell me twice.
Fast forward a week and UPS dropped it off on my front porch.
My pictures don't do it justice, it's just stop and stare gorgeous in person.
After I unboxed it, I had it sitting in my office/jam room and my son came in to ask me a question about school and froze when he saw it. Without hesitation he said "Whoa! That's a really cool guitar!"
Got it from Melody Music Shop and they did a set up on it prior to sale. The action is great, neck is near perfect, etc. Ibanez did a better job assembling it that they did my first SR305e, too as that one had the bridge just a niche too far to the high side so the G string was a tiny bit too close to the edge of the fretboard.
I played it for about a half hour after work yesterday and just love it. So much so I'm no longer bummed I couldn't get another BPM finish, as this just kills that one visually.
Now to take it in the shorts selling the white one...
