I knew there would be one ( other than me) in the bunch,OK, here’s my list:
Also a song Alex Lifeson does solo on an acoustic 12 string. He’s uses some open tuning. Not sure if it’s considered Open D or some hybrid open tuning invented by Alex…. Which would not surprise me. Anyway…. Song title is “Hope.” You Tube it. It’s awesome…. Even if one isn’t enamored with acoustic guitar.
The guy can play guitar for sure.Sorry for the thread hijack, but as I was checking out some ALEX, I ran across this.
WHAT do you guys think of this wild clip?
I just had to too. Here is the set list from that show.

Heard this song for the first time about 12 years ago. We'd had a family member pass away suddenly and personally... I was in a tough spot emotionally. I needed this song. It still makes me emotional when I hear it. Not sure where I'd be without music.
I really enjoy alternate tunings, not just the traditional drop D and step tunings. I play a lot in half-step tuning, drop D or even Drop C# but playing around with stuff like Open G, Open C, DADGAD is really cool too and lets you explorer different sounds.Open G Tuning: A Great Option For Guitarists Looking For A Unique Sound
As a tuning for rock and blues, open G tuning is extremely popular, and it produces a bright and jangly sound. Keith Richards has even recorded a few songs in open G tuning, making him one of the most vocal proponents. Open G is an excellent choice for those who want to try something new and interesting.
