Names of songs you play in open G tuning

Wow! looks like I'm the only guy here, that plays some songs in open G tuning. I find that hard to believe, it can't be true, it can't be..

If it helps Norm, I have done some open tunings. Pretty sure only in G or D. My deal is, once tuned there is wanting to keep it there. But just like tuning the G400 to double drop D so I can do me some Neil Young…. That ties up that guitar. I don’t have that many where I’d want to do an alt tuning and leave it. Don’t have that luxury. And as opposed to popular opinion…. Don’t have plans for another guitar any time soon.

Edit: An example where I’d want to learn a song in an open tuning would be CSN “Judy Blue Eye.” Figured out Stills does it in Open D (I read that somewhere). And if you watch him play it live… you can tell he doing an open tuning.

Well the thing is Rick, you don't need another guitar, I use the same guitar to tune up and tune down, I learned how to play without removing the low E string.

Also a song Alex Lifeson does solo on an acoustic 12 string. He’s uses some open tuning. Not sure if it’s considered Open D or some hybrid open tuning invented by Alex…. Which would not surprise me. Anyway…. Song title is “Hope.” You Tube it. It’s awesome…. Even if one isn’t enamored with acoustic guitar.

Oh. I’ve done it. As mentioned earlier. I’ll do drop D or the Neil Young Double Drop D. Gotten good enough tuning those two E strings down and back up, I can almost do it by ear rather than tuner.

I can see why Stones use a lot of open G tuning in their songs, you just can't get those sounds from any others.

I'll mess around with different open tunings sometimes for slide guitar, which is not often, at all. But that's about it.

Anytime I've played a lot of Stones covers, I've used Open G. Especially Stray Cat Blues for one

Here's a wild one: EBEEBE tuning!
