I had the same attitude for years, and I ain't looking to get rid of mine anytime soon either, but I'm not sure how much use they'll get anymore tbh. We shall see.
I've been running a BE-OD into the front of my Marshalls for some time now anyway.
Now I can almost just get rid of the entire pedal chain. I don't like pedals, if I can help it. I like to have all my tones readily available with a twist of the volume knob if possible.
I'm totally blown away with this amp. From the start, it does indeed sound very Jerry, and that's huge for me, always thought he got some of the best Marshall tones out there.
On another note, it's time for new strings on the V.....and it's almost beer o'clock...
