So how is it going with this one, I am interested in his Marshally styles & might be in the market real soon.
It’s going pretty well so far, I think.
It is capable of live band work. It’s got a solid sound, and does take pedals well.
I’ve done some stuff with it to help Ray out with some recording techniques...we’ve been going over multi mic recording to give a sense of space.
This is a crap playing example...I left the clams in....took my time switching pickups and pedals for different parts...so it’s not meant to be song performance oriented. It’s meant to show off the two mic recording feel for different levels of gain.

Guitar is the SG in my sig.
Phaez head.
Lopoline 2x12 cab convertible with the 1/2 panel in the back removed(1/2 open back).
Speakers are WGS Reaper, and Reaper 55Hz(the close mic is on the 55Hz speaker).
Audix I5 close mic.
Apex 210 ribbon mic in the room, about 8 feet out, and level with the cab(which is laid horizontally, on top of a Marshall 4x12)
You can hear me walk between the amp, and the room mic, a couple of times...to switch pedals. You can also hear me “hurumph” at a brain cramp mistake toward the end.
Pedals used were a Small Stone phaser, a Silver Horse(Klonish thing set fairly subtle for some hair over the drive channel toward the end), Boss DD-20, and a cheap reverb that I don’t remember the name of(also set fairly subtle). The lion’s share of the reverb sound is provided by software, while mixing this.
No eq was used on the recording(everything was set flat except the amp). The only added effects to the recording are compression on the master bus, and reverb. The room mic track is pushed a few samples back to add spacial feel.
Please let me know if the distortion channel sounds are Marshall-esque if you want.
