NAD Marshall Haze 15

@gball my thinking is the Haze being 6v6 has the mid pop fender don't know how to do..it sounds amazing on jensens for the creamy Clapton stuff then onto celestions..i say mini plexi but OD's a lil sooner..with guitar vol knob..you can manipulate this amp very well.. Stupid good on greenbacks & punchy on gt75'v30. Not an effects player but the 3 do work very subtle if needed. Interest to me was the 80's effect. Add just a tad of space maybe on the lead.

The 3203..if you ever run by one. Get it..don't ask questions..best jcm800 sound ever heard(prob why i like (SLX so much --very similar).in the controllable lead tone without fizz or pedal forcing it..just natural gain-instant pinch harmonics but tight)..the amp is so freaking loud on gain side & stays tight on clean but OD's like a plexi but a lil tighter & crisper. The reviews on these are true..how good the clean side is & what happens after 7 on gain knob. I could prob use these 2 for 90% of what i do. The 6v6 also fendery sounds but better mid placement..not always trying to break with a pedal, Was going to get the 2 new studios..played em at levels at friends & my mind peaked..like what have I heard before these..$ 1,295 is some coin for cold 20 watts..none of my 4 holers cost even close tho that, I wanted what the big amps do but at lower levels..def got it...friend sent the one studio back quick..when i brought the 3203 over ..not in any way putting the newer ones down.. it's just hard to part with 1,295 especially with the origin & DSL half price....

That sounds like an amp I would be very interested in. Enjoy brother!

Enjoy Bro,

Hey Gball, Another fella elsewhere asked this. I wanted to see if you had any info I could pass on.

"Thoughts on Mesa Boogie Mark V 35 Combo.."

My thoughts? Perhaps the best overall combo amp money can buy. There is nothing more versatile and arguably no better value anywhere, not to mention the build quality. And the power level is at the sweet-spot and switchable.

They just released a Mark 5:25 combo, with a G-10 Creamback speaker, and I can't wait to check it out. Could be the best grab-and-go amp ever.

You single coil guys...tex mex, tele 6k's, Min hum split & hum split & p90's just tried

had a hunch 6v6 voice amp would be a gem with singles..not quite the bright as my el34's . Haze really favors singles..it reminds me of a of having that edge of break up control available but not at the higher pitch or lacking mid in my 6l6 fenders, that need a pedal to influence the break up.

VM 2266 with kt66 acts similar but not as breaking up as quick..it stays full & gut punchy. with real creamy mids. The Haze seems to have a circuit that's aggressive but not out of control. No pedals really needed..as the gain channel has a lot on tap & as you move Volume up at about 6 it doesn't get louder but just saturates more like a Super Reverb does. BUT the Mids..the Mids are present and not missing!! Compared to 3203...it is like right up to that in terms of gain/thump..then the 3203 takes on from there and becomes a jcm800 ish amp on boost channel with a stellar clean. The haze can get clean with backing vol on guitar to 5 but that hint of snarl it just a hard pluck away.

Really surprising on the Peavey 2x12 75/v30 cab..both amps are voiced for it. Then the bottom semi open..just fills the room. The haze is right at that level of volume..it does the mojo at a reasonable level. The 3203 can be very loud to where you won't max it live. Have the 4x12 BV cab to try yet..prob be incredible with the first run versions of those speakers.

Just to try..did get nice sounds sitting on the golden stool ..right in front of it..favor amp working hard with chan vol down..both absolutely work at talking levels for sane level practicing but do their best with tubes cooking,,,both get to pinch harmonics quick & sustain very long. The haze ..if i got it earlier on..might have preempted the fender run this summer. It gets pissed like the Super does when its cooking. And does that warm fender clean for a female voice to sit on and not compete with.
