So this is what photobucket has to say about this...

for your current account level.

We have created a Plus 500 plan that allows you to continue using Photobucket to host your images with Linking & 3rd Party Hosting.
Our Plus500 Plan Includes: Ad-free browsing, full resolution photo storage, 3rd party hosting & priority customer support. Along with those benefits your content and services will be featured to millions of visitors as part of our exclusive PB Deals community.

*What is 3rd Party Hosting?
Alternatively refered to as inline linking, "hotlinking" is the action of linking to an image or object on another server. An example of hotlinking would be using an <img> tag to display a JPEG image that you uploaded to your Photobucket account so it will appear on a different website like Etsy, eBay auction listings, blogs, forum messages, etc.

I've been digging into this a little more for my own info.

It seems Photobucket recently changed their terms of use to no longer allow image hosting on free accounts. That would appear to explain why it suddenly changed for folks. In fact, you have to buy their most expensive package ($399.99 / Year) in order to be allowed image linking and 3rd party image hosting.

My guess as to why some images continued to show up for some of you that they were stored in cache.

Sooooo....it looks like this may catch up to all of us who have been using Photobucket. This will hose up all of the images anyone has posted on any forum that are linked to Photobucket.

Fun times ahead.....

BTW, you can be assured no human is checking through everyone's Photobucket accounts. This is almost certainly algorithm-driven and sooner or later the algorithm will getcha.

HEY WAV.....can we retrieve our own pics--- and slam on a jump drive or something FROM photo bucket????

I honestly dont know which ones are P.B. linked and which arent..........I know on the Fenderfroum...Peaveyforum......and the Triumphtalk forum----MANY are going hit the skids as those sites dont allow hosting of pics --- you MUST link to a site like photobucket

man that is DIRTY POOL on photobuckets part.

If I can retrive all mine --- and close nuke deleate my account I think I will just for the :finger: factor.

Right click on picture (windows users) and save to your hard drive. Then you can use the built in tool for this forum to upload a file, or save them to your gallery.

thanks......

I got a ton of work to do---------- I wonder can you dump the whole library? I mean I got a poop load of pics on there......like YEARS worth

Sorry bro, I'm not a photobucket expert. I've been hosting my own images for over 2 decades.

The way I see it, it'll all come down to the parameters they're looking for. Like, is it possible that they're starting with people who are near their limits? I don't know...maybe.

Maybe (and this is just sheer speculation) if you are well below your limit you can fly under the radar. I don't know.

I would be willing to buy the base membership, but I'm not spending $400.00 per year for the premium package.

I mean, I didn't mean to start a panic! But, I am keeping an eye out. In some of my poking around, I saw people on other forums having the same issue.

We'll see...
