My Interest is Piqued for a PRS...

One suggestion if you are thinking of laying down that kind of wampum for a PRS: if at all possible, take your own amp with you and test it through that to really know if its going to sound and respond the way you want. There's nothing worse that dropping a lot of scratch on a guitar you are GASsing for only to find out it just doesn't work right through your rig or for what you are trying to do with it.
...and then you have an excuse to go amplifier shopping!
:D:p

Here is the 89' in scarlet red at present prices though I would never be able to purchase it. Very highly recommended ! Bridge/Trem is excellent but the neck pup is almost buried below the ring to balance out the pups, that I thought was odd. No need for me to go amp shopping since there's just no more room, dammit!

How do you like those Park amps?

Tony, you room looks like you have the same malady as mine! And I understand it's very contagious and almost impossible to get thru recovery from Ampaholicism if there is even a cure. One can only keep it under control thru acquisition which only lowers the jones's a bit but builds up again, slowly at first and picks up speed fast again.

One is a small box the other is a large. The small box has the split cathode circuit so it's more trebly like the stones solo in " sympatary for the devil " the other large box has a shared cathode so it's less trebly. On 10 they do not fatigue your ears AND on 10 they sound the same. I'd have to look again but the darker one has all ,022 caps and .1 across the driver / phase inverter, while, the more trebly small box has .010 caps to .022 in the driver / inverter. They sound great w/o any pedals thou both have Mullard tubes across the board. I can, with a bias change use KT88's or EL34's . One I traded a Fender blackface Super Reverb w/ a silverface Cabinet for while the other I honestly can't remember. At that time I had 3 super reverbs, my personal one and two others for trades or whatever. One of the super reverbs, all pre CBS I got as a chassis only, then when one of the park 75's came around I Ebayed from Canada a silverface cabinet/ speakers and reverb tank so I think I only had $400 total into the Park trade. And again I have to mention the old man thing again, another words it was quite a long time ago , bout mid to late 90's or so. I love both of em and the clean sound is awesome while the overdrive is well, heavenly. Both were " keepers " not buy and release 36_11_6.gif

I don't have a dedicated music room. I have stuff all over the house.
Dining room, cellar, front hallway, 2nd floor hallway, you name it.
There are racks in 2nd floor hallway and 1 of the bedrooms, amps
in the dining room etc. Everywhere you look. Mrs. M. is a Saint.

2nd floor hall.
