Yep. I thought it had a very Tele sound to it. They are very comfortable also. I would try to get a used "Core" PRS, which can be found for around the same price. Look for a core Mira, or Starla, Custom 22 or Custom 24. The one I posed in the deal thread is a GREAT starting point. I am so tempted to buy it, but I have the CU22/CU24 territory firmly covered...but which one? The Silver Sky is just too Strat for me. I'm looking at this S2 Studio because I dig the different pickups and their configuration.
Anyone play one of these?

But...I know they are very nice guitars, and some folks love them, RVA absolutely adores them, but... meh. I would be very surprised if you bought, liked and kept a PRS. I'm not knocking the brand, I know they're good, but maybe the scale, maybe the necks, maybe???
But...
They come in a variety of neck shapes..at least 3
Most have a 25" scale - in between Strat and LP, and very close to the LP 24.75

It is a beauty. And the SE line can be modded into an amazing guitar. But core PRS have their own special mojo. I am not saying they are for everyone, but neither is a strat or an LPYes, you're right - I have very limited experience of PRSs, so I don't mean to knock them; excellent brand. You remember that sweet PRS LP single cut korina that I had; it was beautiful looking, and I so wanted to like it, but just couldn't get into it. Never played it, just picked up the SG faded instead because it was so much more fun to play.

Nice selection! Try one and you will at least see that they are in a class of their own. As you know, I am not a fan of Mr. Smith, but his guitars are undeniably goodYeah, I'm sure you're right. There's a shop up in Gangnam that I keep meaning to visit that have a lot of nice PRS guitars: Guitars 1 - PRS US Core

"F" Paul Reed and his SMITH ---
I think we may have been on a PRS forum together. Not sure if it was the official or unofficialI've had a Mira and a Singlecut. They were beautiful, comfortable, sounded great, built to an incredibly high standard...and I just couldn't bond with them.
I grew up in Maryland, so have always wanted to love them and own a few since Paul Smith is a homey, but there is something so, I dunno, sterile about them that I never could jive with, but when people do they make them sing.
You should try some and see if they scratch your itch.
If I was to get a PRS, I’d probably go for the McCarty 594:
