My bands random stuff.

Well, well, well….

Gig went well… we had full house, sold some merch… gained more followers….

Only negative is… it was painfully loud…. I had ear defenders and my ears still were ringing after the show.

I stared 50w mode ( I remember @Jethro Rocker saying 50w is enough for the gig) i did sound check all was fine until showtime… once we started the set i could not hear myself ( again ) lol 2 song in i said f*** this…. I hit 100w mode and it got louder for sure but all i could hear was drums and bit of vox… one of the band member after us saw me struggle and he went to sort my vol during the set which was nice of him. After that i left it at that settings.

Other negative thing is…. We supplied backline….. opener band could not even be arsed to bring his mains lead and had to use mine….

I left my amp on so its nice and hot when i go on…. I came back from outside to watch opening band and i see my amp off… me go no no no no….
After they finished the set i see he used mine…. Why cant you bring your iwn lead when you are using your head… agggghh

It like on other gig, headliner bassist used my bassist amp, bass, and guitar lead…. Sigh….
At least bring your own lead?????

Call me petty but i find it annoying…
Anyway heres one pic from that gig

Why is that? How did it change after soundcheck? I think if bass player was kept in check you woildn't need near 50 watts. DrUms are not that loud even with a pounding drummer. If you can't hear yourself then someone else is creating a problem. Ringing ears with hearing protection is not good.

That said, glad you had a good show and gained some followers. Also, had fun!

I forgot to add cab was not mic’ed up…

Not sure why…. It was small venue and that snare was “holly poop” loud…

Best gig i did was in Colchester … sound guy was amazing and got balance right….
I have 20db boost for solos and i still could mot hear jack poop…

I reckon… its due to how everything was loud…. Sometimes i have my 100w maxed out and still not enough…. LoL

I need 1000000w amp hahahah

Perhaps speaker cab placement to your ears? I have played with drummers whose snare drum makes you blink and flinch every time he hits it. Didn't even need 20 watts to hear myself fine.
Was he running any drums through monitors? Cause that would be entirely unnecessary.

If i remember only kick was mic’ed as he uses triggers… cab was next to drummers seat… I didnt have monitors to help me….

Like you say 50w should be enough but in my band its not… we are damned…

Was cab close to you? Those 4x12s beam out a lot so not much spread. I used to stamd right in front of mine and back it up about 10 feet.
If monitors aren't enough to hear vox then it is just plain too loud. If you can't hear everyone else should turn down!!

THIS GUY and THIS BAND really intrigue me.

We knew how Ramo's development has progressed in the days and years we've known him. But, somehow he got hooked up with a selection of guys who have complimentary skills and they all seem to gel together pretty well.

So far, it seems like a nice outcome and some killer songs/shows too.
Thanks man.

Our song is being mixed at the moment and im exited to hear it.
