It's music like that that I like.
It's music like that that I like.
Don’t sweat the details. I joined a month after this place as born and I still have probably only read 25% of what’s been posted. Thanks for that, but I'm guessing it that this is a dead thread from this point forward.
When I registered here at TTR, three months ago, it was my intention to post, participate, and become a part of this community. Unfortunately, it takes more than three months to thoroughly read 18K threads to avoid the conflict of stepping on someone else's toes.
For what it's worth to anyone who may read this:
I registered here on Dec 26, 2024.
Since then, slightly less than 70 new members have registered here at TTR.
Within that group of new members who have registered here since Dec 27, 2024 exists a vast majority of people who took the time to register here, BUT haven't even taken time to make a single post.
If you don't believe me, scroll back through the Welcome threads since Dec 27, 2024. Fewer than 25 posts have been posted by new members for the past three months.
You'll have to forgive me, but that's something I can't understand or wrap my head around.. Why do people register at a great place like TTR if they have zero interest in posting or participating?
It makes no sense to me.
It's like registering to become a member of the NRA when the only weapon you own is a freaking slingshot.
Thanks for reading my rant!
Carry on.
I don't get it either. That's why I stopped responding to new member welcome threads until the new member posts something. Even then only a very few post outside of their welcome thread. I've never understood that. But then, there are a lot of things I don't understand about this forum...Thanks for that, but I'm guessing it that this is a dead thread from this point forward.

You really have to admire people who have encapsulated ideas or feelings in one neat phrase. “Smokestack Lightning” is pure imagery cut free of objective meaning… it is raw blues poetry.
Most of us don’t get it either. Why join if there’s no plan to participate. I do know @WavMixer has an algorithm that if there is zero posts in X months, the acct is deleted. There are exceptions of course. Active members have been know to take a hiatus. Health. Taking a break from the internet…. Specifically, social media. Those members don’t get deleted unless they have specifically requested that action.I don't get it either. That's why I stopped responding to new member welcome threads until the new member posts something. Even then only a very few post outside of their welcome thread. I've never understood that. Okay…. I like this!!!I usually greet new members with words of welcoming or silly words. In the future, I'm just going to stare at them until they break their silence.

I agree. maybe life gets in the way. Thanks for that, but I'm guessing it that this is a dead thread from this point forward.

Life can most assuredly get in the way. However, it requires quite a bit of time to register here at TTR, read through the TOS, agree to the terms, and join. Once you've survived the background checks...You're In!I agree. maybe life gets in the way.

I appreciate the link because it's proof positive that there were bands out there years ago recording music that wasn't overly squashed or compressed.Truthfully, I could post every song this band ever recorded as a favorite
We're making progess here.Naturally
