A few years ago, a good friend of mine, Tom, recorded an awesome cover of one of the best songs written and recorded by the late great Leon Russell. Great piano and a voice to match.
I have a live CD of the Status Quo. It’s a great album. From what I’ve come to understand, they were/are a big deal in the UK and Europe. Just for some reason never had anything else play stateside after Pictures of Matchstick Men. Which is too bad. We missed out on some good tunes.
I think I have that downloaded to my phone.... and yes. Also good.Camper Van Bethovan did a cover of Pictures of Matchstick men years ago. The cover was great too.
Hadn't seen that thread until now. Thanks for making me aware. Wasn't my intention to trespass. 9K posts? Yikes!!!I feel like I’m in a rerun of “To what are Yee Listenin’ Right Now?”…![]()
Thanks for that, but I'm guessing it that this is a dead thread from this point forward. No harm, no foul.![]()
Nah keep it going. No worries. What I am listening to right now may well be different from music I like which can be anything. Thanks for that, but I'm guessing it that this is a dead thread from this point forward.
When I registered here at TTR, three months ago, it was my intention to post, participate, and become a part of this community. Unfortunately, it takes more than three months to thoroughly read 18K threads to avoid the conflict of stepping on someone else's toes.
For what it's worth to anyone who may read this:
I registered here on Dec 26, 2024.
Since then, slightly less than 70 new members have registered here at TTR.
Within that group of new members who have registered here since Dec 27, 2024 exists a vast majority of people who took the time to register here, BUT haven't even taken time to make a single post.
If you don't believe me, scroll back through the Welcome threads since Dec 27, 2024. Fewer than 25 posts have been posted by new members for the past three months.
You'll have to forgive me, but that's something I can't understand or wrap my head around.. Why do people register at a great place like TTR if they have zero interest in posting or participating?
It makes no sense to me.
It's like registering to become a member of the NRA when the only weapon you own is a freaking slingshot.
Thanks for reading my rant!
Carry on.
We get a lot of people that sign up because a search led them here. Probably a search for a piece of gear, an amp repair project, a type of gear modification etc…they can’t see the pictures in full size/resolution without signing up. So…many come here, sign up, see what they need to see, and move on. Some are crazy enough to hang out, and mouth off. You'll have to forgive me, but that's something I can't understand or wrap my head around.. I am definitely crazy and a bit mouthy at times. Love me or hate me....here I am.Some are crazy enough to hang out, and mouth off.

I hear you, Jethro, but it isn't up to me to determine the fate of this thread. But, if you're all in....I'm all in.Nah keep it going. No worries. What I am listening to right now may well be different from music I like which can be anything.
Thank you, Godfather DonYour contribution is appreciated! Please…..do carry on.
