Morning Coffee

Maybe the dark roast used at Cafe Du Monde is better than the chicory mixed coffee I've had elsewhere down south, but after enough bad experiences I'll still pass.

The beignets sound tasty though.

When I lived in Nova Scotia, the only food choices were herring, mussels, and lobster. Maybe some cod or haddock too. Not the most culinary diverse place on the planet, but the seafood was damn tasty, and super fresh.

I think the sugar and fried dough of the beignets ----and the hangover recovery from the Hurricanes at Pat Obriens------has a lot to do with it ;) like many New Orleans taste sensations-- many are more an "acquired" taste........but once "in ya" -- like voodoo its hard to get rid of em ;)

I like the idea of single brew machines like the Keurig, but not their reality. They are an environmental disaster, as it’s a single use cup. I like the Wolfgang Puck machines that use something more like a tea bag (which is compostable) much better, but I don’t think they are marketed well enough. I usually only see them at customers’ locations, where they are more for a high volume industrial setting.

The Keurig can use reusable k-cups. We have a few of them - just fill them with regular coffee. I like to use espresso in them.

OMG Chasfred. Every Boy, Girl, Man or Woman I have ever known to drink Jameson's has wound up puking.
I surmised it was because it goes down pretty smoothly and then over indulging sneaks up and bites the drinker in the stomach.

Oh I have had a couple of rough mornings for sure from the elixlir, but never blew chunks because it.
