Misfits Farm goes global

My tree climbing dog Jane would have had a ball chasing and playing with your tree climbing goats.

Couldnt pay me enough-------ever seen the movie "Falling Down" -----that would be me .......in that "human swamp"

I don't mind it. My daily driver is a stick with 4.30 gears. Its become a game for me...

I grew up in the farmlands of the San Joaquin Valley, where a "traffic jam" was the neighbor's tractor or maybe a cow, but you can't make a living up there.

Merle Haggard had a song about the San Joaquin Valley called "The Train Never Stops At Our Town," which sums up what its like to live there.

It was written by a guy named Dallas Frazer who grew up in nearby Pond, California.

YOur left calf must be 3 times the size of the right one

I do NOT have the patience for it -----

IMHO, Miami Florida traffic was 1,000 times worse than anything I've encountered in California. I moved to Margate!

Interesting you mention watering-----one of the things we are looking into (because it rains here ALL THE TIME) with the funds from this campaign is a cistern system to catch rain water in barrels for use here on the farm--- we are on a well-- but in hurricane event ---the well dont PUMP without POWER-- looking for alternatives-- :)

You can look into these things. The wife bought this used online for $120 delivered. Holds 265 gallons (1000 liters for my metric friends) and comes with that aluminum frame and on a plastic pallet I plumbed it into a down spout with an overflow that runs to the front curb. Then surrounded with a matching fence.

VERY similar---

then we will run PVC off that out to all the pens and the chicken coops get a step down smaller pvc with "nipples" that the chickens can drink from --- but doesnt make the mess of bowls or water canteens.

Well DONE--- and look at your girl having a great day---- did she fetch those wheels?? :)

Story behind the wheels???

Quote,
"Rail wheels on the beach.
During early settlement of the region, it was planned to make a permanent opening to Lake Illawarra at Windang Island, dredge a channel for ocean-going ships across the lake to the western side, and build a shipping port there, mainly for coal export. Construction of the seawall and dredging of the lake entrance was begun, and a short industrial railway line was built to move rock and spoil. The project was later cancelled before any work was finished. Around Windang Island, and the island end of Warilla Beach, there are still the remains of train wheel and axle sets, rails and other rusting gear."
