Pretty sure it will boil down to the values of the chicklet within each circuit as Greg blends which coupling cap with which resistor and possibly the choice of pre amp tube you use will have a bearing on the desired effects.

Since the set of Marstran transformers isn't expected to arrive till late June, Robert's future 2204 project is going into hibernation. I think the head cab should be here in a month though, and I'll do a test fit with the chassis and cab as soon as the cab arrives.

@syscokid - Can you describe to me the high/low sensitivity function (separate jacks) on this amp??? I've never understood this feature completely.

The High input connects to all the gain stages of the amp's circuit. The Low input bypasses the second gain stage (V1b). The V1b gain stage is massive.

This is a cabinet made by Guitar Cabinets Direct. All I did here, was add some finishing washers to those oval head screws. A couple years ago, I ordered a combo 1x12 cab from GCD, and those oval head screws were used to secure the back panels. Without those finishing washers for the oval head screws, the screws can easily be driven too deep through the tolex and through the thin and soft wood of the back panels. Plus... the finishing washers makes the hardware look more, uhm, finished...
