Marshall Neanderthal by Ivanberg - Build Thread:

Of course with an aluminum chassis, you can't solder to aluminum.
You need a steel chassis to do that soldering.
Robert's amp chassis is steel.

We are using a Drake 784-139 type output transformer Drake 1202-118 type power transformer.
And the choke is a C1999 type with 3 Henries stuffed inside! All the iron is coming from Marstran Transformers... (y)

... @syscokid is a mad scientist genius.
You are too generous with your accolades, but I do appreciate your enthusiasm. All kudos goes to the many actual geniuses that I have pilfered valuable knowledge from, through the years....

Not only did Sysco put a metro FX Loop into a hand-wired Marshall, he also labeled the FX Loop and bypass switch!!!!!
Well, besides drilling the holes for the fx-loop module, I really haven't installed the loop yet. I'm planning to build and test the amp first before I install the loop. The graphics for the fx-loop was supplied by the Metro installation instructions which offers a downloadable template that is used for drilling the holes and printing a water-slide decal for the labeling. I did forget to print and label the Resonance control, but there's more than enough time for this!

Transformers are 12 weeks out, but will be supplied by Marstran. Order is now confirmed.

Exciting news!!!!
Choke? NM, Sysco posted it.
