Marshall 8200 Bi-Chorus Head - Oh poop!!! Its NAD:

If you like it and it works for you -- then use it -- all the greats were innovators not followers -- Clapton wasnt reading a forum and swapping tubes or pots or caps to MIMIC a tone we all have different uses for the gear we adore

I personally am :
not playing a venue
not playing to an audience
not touring
not gigging
not playing at stadium volume levels (not even playing at BAR levels or needing to beat a drummer)
not going to spend the $$$$$$ for a 100 watt tube head of any brand period ever
not going to buy 175 pedals to find the right 15 I need on my board
not buying a board

because I have no need--patience-- use-- or desire for any of the above items

I have (after owning flipping and trying MANY things)
a 20 watt orange crush SS
a vox pathfinder 10 ss
a hartke B600 bass amp combo SS
PEavey 112 bandit SS
Marshall Master LEad 12 (mosfett SS)
Fender bassbreaker 007 --tube
custom made hand wired hottness.....5 watt tweed clone "Lil Sexy all tube goodness" made by @CabanaBoy
I have these because I like them -- the tones they make give me a smile and on special days when I have the time I use them
and ........................the other 300 days out of the year ...........I use this through studio monitors

because it does ALL the things ALL those things listed above do, because its functional- affordable-- sounds good and works -- easily (i.e NO maintenance needed) it sounds like the models it claims (or close enough for me) plus does at least 195 OTHER things .....literally at my fingertips .........and....... when I use it ....... it makes me smile
AND in this day and age ANYTHING --- tubes.... SS....digital--- porn--- potatoes or opium den spelunking.... if it can make you SMILE?!?!??! Hold on to it like GOLD as it is worth MORE!

I'm outta breath after reading this. You need to have a yard sale...

I'll never understand that reasoning for pricing an amplifier or a guitar , for that price it should come with 4 bedrooms a garage and a pool .

I've played through an Overdrive Special and I was totally and completely surprised that it really was nothing more than a Blackface in how it behaved and sounded. Very clean and dry. It took pedals well though....
