BTW: here the headshell. Brushed heavily under the shower, 2nd time. Tolex needs to be restored. Front plate needs to be made from scratch; i use different positions of the pots and switches.

This iron should be capable of up to 110 Watts. That's what was originally in the headshell. The PT needs still to be tested. If it is ok, then this might turn into an amp squeezing 70-90W from a pair of EL34 or KT77 running at 750V.

The archtop i built roughly 35 years ago and an acoustic by luthier Rainer Krempel in 2011 (who was 73 at that time).
 
Nice Bea. Did you grow up learning to use tools with someone like a dad, brothers, handy mom, or go to school to learn woodworking/ luthery? OR did you teach yourself most of your skills to pull off such sweet guitar/bass builds?

Also, any front n back shots of those blondes?
 
Bea, that Archtop is something to be very proud of. Having been a carpenter all my adult life, given almost any tool, I can build anything.
The trouble for me is not having proper shop space, enough cash to buy the best woodworking/guitar building tools and nice accessories like whatever is needed to use the best method of bending the wood to create the shape of an archtop, violin or any other hollow type stringed instrument.

Some other needs obviously would be to know just how to get the best wood and how to shape and build guitar necks so they stay stable, true and straight enough to make a life long player.

I just remembered you said you built the archtop 35 years ago. I was a mere 20 then and was just around the time I got my first guitar. A Black LP STD.
 
Well i was around 25 then. And i built it on the kitchen table. With insufficient tools - bending on an iron for cloths ...
I went ~200 km to a dealer who supplied wood for the violin family and bought the cheapest wood for a small cello.
 
Awesome, Bea. You sound just like the lady version of me except you have quite a bit more electronics knowledge than I do at present. My 2017-2018 found me learning a lot about basic electronics theory and circuit schematics via books, videos and DonP and IvanH on here teaching me things.
