That's basically what I do. I set the amp, and use the knobs on my guitar.I set an amp to a tone I like from "it" and basically leave it -- if I want something different I plug into a different amp ......
DOS ORIGINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This is how my neighbors hear mine

The Origin is very much just that its OLD Marshall tones (well IMHO) so would argue but to me its more 60s ...early cleans with some SPANK when you CRANK it.
as siad in one of the videos throw a tube screamer or what have you in front and it will really scream ..... but again the bassbreaker and my Peaveys (Valve King head or Bandit 112) have more GAIN and punch and chug than I really ever use those two can reach INSANE levels of gain-- its ON TAP for sure and when I feel like playing JUDAS PRIEST ..... or what have you I can-- the bassbreakers also got a mother load of bass chug (talk about moving air!!!) those things can DO IT
but most the time Im grooving more of a layback, jazzish or Tab Benoît ....BB King ..... Buddy Guy vibe....... face melting metal not required -- the Origin makes lovely rich clean to bluesish grit tones effortlessly
I am spoiled for sure -- I set an amp to a tone I like from "it" and basically leave it -- if I want something different I plug into a different amp ...... Like the Valvestate 8020 Marshall combo -- its set for pure 80's hair band "glam metal" it does that tone AMAZINGLY WELL...Poison/CC D'eville-- Ratt Robin Crosby/W. Demarttini -- Crue/that old guy---....tones perfectly -- doesnt do country or blues all that well....... so thats where it lives -- in the RATT CELLAR so to speak .....and so on ....
Fender CLeans come from the Lil' Sexy 5 watt custom made head....
bass comes from the Hartke or the National 30 watt 60s FET ss head......
ORange tones come from the Micro Terror (so Norm will be happy)
etc.
A bandit is an all time classic amp (if a SS amp can be)well its all in what ya wanna do with anything really--and your ear.....
I know a local jazz musician SWEARS by --- PEAVEY BANDITS -- for the reverb and the CLEAN channel-- (go figure) ---
and plays professionally with one
Not too far off from how I dial mine in, little lower on the bass mids up a bit.
I have pondered getting another one, I picked up a backstage 30 from a pawn shop a while back just because it reminded me of the one I had.love mine
came to me in 3 pieces........ no wood (the cabinet had gotten wet and separated )
pre painted white board from HOME DEPOT and -- she keeps on chuggin

there can never be enough of metalthats why they make all kinds
-- I tradded a DSL head for the origin head --- I didnt like the FIZZ factor of the DSL -- and it was "too metal" -- (yes I said it)

I have 2 other amps that DO METAL very well....I wanted a more old school NOT FACVE MELTING Marshall tone and am very happy with the sounds the Origin makes ... the young fella I traded to is VERY HAPPYT with the DSL as he was in a metal band and WANTED face melting metal tones --- so all ended up happy![]()

I said the DSL was too metal "for me" .........besides..............
I allready have this
and one
Offended you have, God's of metal indeed. Unpunished not, your insolence shall be...
