Looking for some guidance....

I started with a bass that was pretty similar to that one…a bit less pointy…same color though. It got me through a lot of writing. Then I found the Washburn…still love that bass. Now I have added a few Peavey bass models…crazy good stuff…fairly priced…solidly built…of course they’re all older, USA models.
AGreed---
PEavey -- USA made "FURY" --P bass...... was less than 200.00
has a JAZZ bass (thin fas profile) neck -- P bass shape and pups --- dents dings bangs and crashes.........
I own Gibson basses (old vintagie ones) but if I was ASKED to go on tour tomorrow ......and can only bring 1 bass---- Id grab the PEAVEY

Had one -- yes please Ill take another -- however TBTH the push pull pot on the Godin FELL OUT of the box when I opened it........ EXCELLENT bass --- but if touring -- giging-- FLYING to venues-- and dealing with the road war -- Id take the peavey -- I can find replacement pups and pots and tuners et all for the peavey ....... anywhere Im doing major HACKERY to repalce any of the electrics on the Godin should they poop out in transit

however that said this is resting on my thigh as I type!
Grabber G3.jpg

note the dings -- scaratches -- body checking -- rust .... DIVOT at the 10th fret ! ----its a BASS baby ;)
all original GIBSON G3 Grabber
Kalamazoo Plant, MI, USA
on March 13th, 1981
Production Number: 64

and its YUMMY

but again I wouldnt tour with it ......

also to be TOTALLY HONEST -- one of the best basses I EVER laid my paws on was a ROGUE fretless my son had about 10 years ago

IT made me feel like I was banging a cocktail waitress with the wife in the next room every time I played it ......... (or so I assume )

STUPID good for STUPID cheap--- maybe it was a FLUKE that got out of the factory "right" or maybe the previous owner set it up right ??? but it was the best 80.00 best IMHO ever............

And there's your Santa Claus proof, Norm!!

Mind you, looks like he was seriously pissed when they shot this pic. I'm guessing he's letting out all the pent-out frustrations of having to drop a gazillion presents for a bunch of little ingrates on christmas eve while observing corona safety protocols (the virus, not the beer... although being originally from NE Mexico, I could strongly argue that they're just as noxious. Sorry, I prefer Indio, Bohemia, Negra Modelo or even Sol...):beers:

I've never experienced a Troy Sanders being mad about anything, ever...lol

I mean, Gandalf! Yeah!

Do you have a Rat pedal laying around? ;)
Nope. I'm pretty bare of pedals, I don't like em usually if I can help it lol
I've only a handful of them and I don't use most of them. A GE-7 in the loop, a tuner, lately using just the tiniest bit of a chorus pedal, and sparingly, a wah. (Except in this tune. I used it a lot. And I learned my lesson.)
