Thanks for that! I like the last pic…good angle to show the center of gravity with a guitar situated. It doesn’t tip forward easily, does it?(doesn’t look it)I like it, it's probably just as sturdy as the tripod type I have. I think it'll work just fine.
Edit: just noticed that it holds the guitar up a little higher off the floor than my other ones do. I doub't anyone noticed but if you look at the pic in my OP you can see where I put some wood shims under the hooks where they hinge to make them sit higher because the strap buttons on my LPs were touching the floor before I did that, drove me crazy. I won't have to do something like that with this stand.
I like the way it folds up too…in a very “let’s get small” kinda way.
