Live From DFW

Water dissipates heat from your body 70% faster than air. (get a wet suit)
When you are divemaster you know :poo: like that....yes I am divemaster.

Certainly diving in cold water is very dangerous because of hypothermia. That's why there is dry suits.

Now
I have just landed in San Luis Obispo.
Home of Ernie Ball, Music Man, Barf -ollini pickups. Not much diving here.

In Hawaii, the ocean water is 80 degrees F. But I still need a wet suit, due to same information above.
Even at 80 degrees, water will still dissipate heat from the body rapidly and the water will feel cold.
So I use a 3 Mil full suit and gloves / booties.
lol sounds like we dive alike!
I used to wait till the water temps in the keys were over 80 before Id dive.....friends made fun of me ..........didnt care --- If it was less than 80 ....I sat on the beach with a beer and waited for them to get back lol
even then I wore a dive skin at least --

possibly due to the previous mentioned dive (which was DECADES ago) but I still can not STAND cold water

I still like diving although warm water for sure.

I haven’t bought a whole lot from Sweetwater, heck I don’t even have a login, I just checkout as a guest (I hate being tracked), but they have always been prompt and good comms with the emails. So I recently bought something for the about to be complete studio. Got the standard email, thanks for your order. A few days later I get an email from Tiberius H explaining some new tracking features. The email wasn’t from sales@sweetwater, but from this guys named account at Sweetwater. I thought that was a nice personal touch. Fast forward to 2 days ago and the phone rings, we have caller ID, and I see the name Tiberius H., damn I know that name so I answer. He just called to see if I had any questions or needed help from Sweetwater. The item I ordered gets delivered today. So I said no, but I might need some help in setting it up. He texts me his personal cell number as we are talking and says call any time. We spoke for about 10 minutes, he was quite the nicest guy and knew his job in customer service, personal customer service, and was quite experienced in most things they sold. Of course he had been in bands and gigged, so he also had good experience (probably based on bad experiences!). All in all my perception of Sweetwater has risen as a result. I just love good customer service and this guy went above and beyond just reaching out and contacting me.

AMS, I can see you adding too and raising the Sweetwater DNA Gene pool! Good luck!

Sweetwater is not a music store.
What I expected was a warehouse but it's more of a complex with a helicopter hanger...complete with outdoor covered venue and stage etc.
It's a whole city dedicated to making musicians dreams come true.
A sort of utopian land of Oz dreamworld (Guitar Disneyland) which most would never imagine possible.

Nice to know!

How cold is it in Indiana? Under 20? Oh and I bet it is cold in CANADA
It was about 28 F when I was there. But on the last day it went up to 60 degrees.
Nobody can go to Canada now, it's too cold. Snowed in / impassible. It's sealed off by ice / perpetual darkness.
You will need to wait for late summer, when the icebreakers can finally plow through to Saskatoon Bay.
From there, you can ride a dog sled to just about any place you like.

By now they won't let Americans in, infected or not.
They finally wised up, didn't take too long.
Anything "Uber" is right out.
Make Canada Great Again: they won't fall for it. Don't even try that.
