Thread name is dubious, not sure if I should post a pic of her....
Technically my ride, though I leave her to the misses...
Not much of a two-wheeler... flame away...
Does 45km/h on paper, does a fair deal more in practice, ahum. 50cc, 2-stroke, air cooled. Simple, cheap and easy to keep running, fairly comfortable. Bought her just before the shop closed, 50km away from home, in the icy cold rain of winter. After doing the paperwork and leaving, I discovered that the lights would randomly cut out, as would the engine. The front wheel bearings were FUBAR, the brake disc was done for (I'd seen that, but it felt worse than it looked). A large part of the way had no street lighting, plus the sleet and rain were making it hard to see anything. The battery was knackered and the kickstarter was on its last legs. The indicator switch wasn't really working and the carb was set badly. Managed to get home over the course of about an hour and half, at which point I was soaked to the skin and shaking from the cold. Fortunately, I didn't encounter any police except one cop car driving past while I was fixing a short caused by wires dangling above the engine in the semi-dark. That would certainly have cost me my license. The owner of the shop sold it as "street legal"... Fixed her up, put in a new piston, cylinder, clutch, drive belt, CVD, front wheel, brake disc and pads (rear is a drum brake), battery, brake lever, indicator switch and kickstart mechanism.
Together with my 4-wheeler. Together, the French Fleet... (note the entirely new front wheel et al)
