the Naphtha reacted with the lacquer finish to soften it. It needs to be re hardened. Naphtha and lighter fluid should NEVER be used on a guitar finish.Thanks Chili. I tried the naptha, but it remained sticky. Then I tried some Harold's Restor-A-Finish, but it just made it slimy!
