Knock the gloss off my neck..I dare you!

slick as owl shite on a door knob -- fast too fast -- I BLOW right by the fret!
or DAMN NEAR dropped it when I went to put it on the stand becasue it slid SO FAST out of my hand

its stellar-- its as good as any neck -- the DEAN is (sadly) comparable -- identical shape-- NOW identical finish -- the "cosntruction" and build finsh quality of the Jackson is a hair better...buit -- man I am SHREDDED baby

to be clear -- the neck FEELS great with the gloss knocked down--- I might do this "mod" to many others !!!
these thin flat "C" necks-- low nicely rounded frets-- and great finish work make it hard to grab some others now ----(Oddly I realized how clos JACKSON and DEan and Ibanez shredder necks are to the old 1970 Peavey T-series necks!!! no wonder they feel like OLD freinds)

Adrian, glad to hear your shreddyness has been "unchained".

I played Black Jackie (Dinky) last night. The neck is glossy and I have not done anything to it.
It is not sticky; maybe years of play wore it slightly but still retained the gloss or the poly is hard / different.
My Ibanez semi hollow was very noticeably sticky and that got "the treatment".

Come on Ray -- all the cool kids are doing it----- just try a little man--- its not addictive--- not at all -------(Pan camera left where eSGEe is runing around the doom room with scotchbrights in each hand rubbing it and his junk on everything like a mad hatter)

I really nee to make a movie --

Thanks Chili. I tried the naptha, but it remained sticky. Then I tried some Harold's Restor-A-Finish, but it just made it slimy!
the Naphtha reacted with the lacquer finish to soften it. It needs to be re hardened. Naphtha and lighter fluid should NEVER be used on a guitar finish.
