Katana head user’s

Lemee guess...........manual?
Hahahahahaha! Nope….I almost bought one, prior to snagging a Kemper. I had a good look at the whole lineup, and familiarized myself with the features of the different models. The head had the tiny onboard speaker, and that was a pretty good selling point for me. I have plenty of speaker cabinets kicking around at my disposal…but the “practice amp mode” for the living room sounded pretty good in the advertising….

When in practice mode (no cabinet) hooked up the wattage goes down to 35/15/.05
When at 35 watts still nice little amp i want to see what kind of NUTS this thing has with a decent cab.
My evh combo is in shop under warranty so i want a cab i can use for both
The cab @Headache mentioned is nice birch wood but to buy a set a v30’s you are the same or more than some of the cheap cabs that come with them

That's actually a very cool feature.

I've completely converted to "practicing" with headphones and using Guitar Rig 6 for all FX.

I found the greatest impact to my playing was realized when i was playing along with recordings and/or a Metronome.

For example, i will organize YouTube videos of the songs in our setlist and run through them several times every morning.

I only look at the pictures in the manual
I am a visual Learner
At moment i am leaning towards the HB cab especially since the clear cone v30’s are in there
359$ shipped to door with v30’s is hard to beat

So after about a week going back an forth these are the contenders
Harley benton 2x12 v30’s for $377 delivered nice speakers low grade cab as in build quality ect made in china
Or the
I want the ivory tolex
440Live cabinet made with Good materials and has removable back panel incase you want to change the sound up
517 delivered basicaly same set up as the harley benton for an extra 49 i could add the recessed top handle and tilt casters but trying to keep cost down
So question to all the experienced Dudes
Do you opt for the cheap cab or do you go with the good quality cab for 140$ more and get a far superior longer lasting product? Made in USA
Also i am going to ask if i combo up the v30 with a creamback possibly

Normally, I wouldn’t hesitate to grab the USA built cab. I am just not a fan of the extruded metal grill though. I’m still gonna say…pine over (maybe) poplar…that’s the way I’d lean. I wouldn’t care much about the tilt and roll thing, but the convertible back would push me to say…440Live.

Thanks @Thatbastarddon
I plan this for the katana head and an extension cab for my 5150iii 2x12 combo to give me a full stack feel
Nope. The 5150iii wants to see another 16 Ω load if you want to run the onboard 16 Ω wired pair.
You would want a cab with two 8 Ω speakers that are wired ”in series” to provide a 16 Ω load.
