I've Been Doing Adrian's Favorite Thing for Hours!

HAHA Adrian, She already is one of those leave old food dishes and uneaten snacks all over her room type of girl despite being told this leads to mice issues.

I don't think the bacon under bed is good idea. Also, I am sure she was simply trying to be helpful at ridding the fridge of stinky food she thought was past it's good to eat by time.

HAHA I wasn't giving it to the daughter
The question was for me. It is full of salt is it not?
It is indeed. But 5 hours is too long at room temp. The worms be hatching out before long.
Unfortunately, pork(cured or not) is kinda like chicken...really bad stuff grows in it at room temp.
Go rub some of it on the doorknob to her room....don’t bother cleaning the bathroom today...it’ll need the fire hose Monday.

If you guys get a 911 call in the middle of the night that I need to have my stomach pumped, you will know what I did.

For disclaimer sake, I cook the hell outta bacon till it is nearly bacon bit crunch. I would think it would be alright.

Well trust me --- Im not ABOVE eating day olds -- and "questionable" products---but-- unless your LOOKING to cleanse your colon----------avoid that bacon

--funny you mention the packaging Don--

I (accidentally) left a frozen pizza ---- sealed-- in the trunk of my car---in the Flroida KEys --- (fell outta the bag or something) that was on Saturday---MONDAY I found it -- still sealed -- NO holes or openings in the clear wrap---but inside FLIES!!!!!!!!!!! and maggots-------

NOW -- I ask you -------how-- (and I checked the wrapper) no holes-- no cracks--- HOW did they get in -- UNLESS they where ALL READY IN THE FROZEN PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI -- last frozen pizza I bought---ever

I've come up with scenarios like that too, Adrian. If we let the little heebie geebies scare us, we likely would never eat anything ever again.

Every critter carries all kinds of nasties that surface on their own if left to nature. It’s just the way of things. You butcher it, salt it, freeze it, refrigerate it vacuum packed...as soon as it comes to a natural temp it tries like hell to survive and thrive.

HAHA now I am watching Boxing and it is commercial time. They just ran a Gentleman Jack, Jack Daniels commercial. Maybe I should drink some Bourbon to kill any bacon germs.

Soak the bacon in it before cooking the sh!t out of it...cover it with a little brown sugar, and pepper too...

Oh Im not squeamish---I eat at the finest gas stations and sandwich machines and fast food joints all along the highways --- and rarely does anything "back up on me"
