Is this legit?

I don't usually fish anywhere there is a dock, let alone a boat launch!

I did actually build a trailer for this little fiberglass turd years ago, when I had a 9.9hp outboard mounted on it. Just a beater trailer to be beat up. Pulled it with a beater pickup. They certainly did get beat up. Mission accomplished! Lol

Had a canoe for a while before that.

I have a bellyboat too, it's kinda fun. Until duck season, anyway, then it's....cold. I don't really hunt anymore anyway though.

I have seriously considered a kayak. The only thing that has kept me from it is the fact that there's no standing or even sitting up off the water at all, otherwise it would be ideal for my purposes.

Then again, I could only stow so much beer on board a kayak, so...

There are SOT kayaks…ones that you can stand up on(if you’re brave)… they’re usually kinda like your tri-hull on the bottom, but have a pull strap to help you to stand…

Fished holes like this for years. Farm ponds. Benefit of working at a farm store selling parts to farmers. Pulled a 7# catfish outa one of these.
These are my favorite holes.
They're not on the map; there's no 'public fishing this way' signs or anything.
So they don't get fished a lot. Because of that, the fish are usually quite large and they aren't educated yet. It also means no docks or launches or anything like that though lol

Fished one farmers pond that came with rules. Anyone that fished it obliged him. Take any catfish. Take any bass….. unless you catch a big one, like 5# range. That goes back in the water for him to catch. Blue gills either go home with you or get thrown in the grass for the barn yard cats. Do not throw them back in the pond.

This is the trail into my favorite spot above…on my way out…

I have to drag around a half mile in from where I can park.

The dolly has some miles on it. I like the SINK for the packing abilities.
We have 2 sets of those dollies for our kayaks. Works on my canoe. From my house it’s probably about a 1/4 mile to drag it to water. Only done that once so far. Last summer. Time to do it again. Kinda surrounded by water.
