But then I do....see.....it's still meat between bread...

So then then I gets thinkin'....does a sandwich have to contain meat?? The classic grilled cheese says no, so I move on....

What about a gyro? A pita? A wrap??....well if we're going that far....what about a taco? Or a burrito?

Just wtf is a sandwich anyway? Is it right? Is it wrong? Intercourse it, I don't actually really care.....I love em, all of them....because I am a believer in equal discrimination...I don't care if your bread, wrap, or tortillas are gluten free or not, GET IN MAH BELLAY!!!

It's placed on a type of bread, and the shell is a bread container, right?

In 1762, John Montagu the 4th Earl of Sandwich, invented the meal that changed dining forever. As the story goes, he was playing cards and did not want to leave the gaming table to eat. He asked for a serving of roast beef to be placed between two slices of bread so he could eat with his hands. Thus, the Sandwich was born.

But a hotdog is not 2 slices of bread...only 1 piece.
Technically then only a 1/2 sandwich.

To me, anything that comes stuffed between slices of bread is a Sandwich.

IMO it doesn't necessarily need to be slices of bread. Roast beef on a roll is still a sandwich.
Even so, a burger on a bun kinda seems like it's in a separate category.
To me, a sub is definitely a sandwich. But a hot dog on a bun is not.
Sloppy Joes? Sort of a grey area.

Do not eat them anymore, but yes is a sammich. I know how to properly spell sandwich, just prefer the former.

I put ketchup on them, especially as a kid. Mustard and relish are nasty. If I still ate them today I'd use sriracha or salsa.

I have heard burgers called sandwiches my whole life, but I just call them burgers.
