Irritated at the USPS

Sorry this chit happened to you. Judgement Day will eventually come to the scumbag responsible for this crime.

I also appreciate your effort and details on posting about your unfortunate situation. It’s a lesson for all of us!

Bummer for the big hassle there Smitty. I almost exclusively use PayPal for online purchases. They have been good to me when I had a dispute. I recently updated my ship to address on PayPal that includes this line:

(Do NOT ship using USPS)

(Do NOT ship using USPS)
Not always given a choice how the seller ships. Plus, many times it may ship via UPS from the seller and delivered to my address via USPS. UPS hands off. And with this type of scam.... not sure the delivery service would have made a difference.

Life is grand it's getting strange I've been in sales and service my whole life this last guitar purchase wow put on hold around five hours
then we can't ship to Alaska I said BS told them to ship Fed-Ex called back put on hold again I got sick of it and got it off their web sight
they sent it UPS on tracking UPS on hold then I checked tracking at 11:30 PM delivered no signature pump and dump 21 degrees frozen
shipping box trashed lucky the guitar was OK the night before my cars were rifled Last time UPS put a forklift fork through the box
would not pay the insurance claim to the seller as far as Pay Pal only buy chump change items under $100.00
one more scam My wife and I went to pick up my sister off the cruse ship downtown some one had a card reader got home
the credit card company called I was charged $3600.00 and my wife was charged $5000.00 had to put in a claim

I simply tell them that USPS does not deliver to my house, which is a true statement.

No luck yet Smitty? Someone nearby has to have it. Can they not find the driver? Surely he'd remember something that size.

I don't know if you've had a chance to read my posts #15 and #17 above, but this goes beyond that. This is a straight-up scam.

In plain language, I was robbed.

I'm no lawyer, but my guess is that it amounts to wire or mail fraud on the part of the scammer.

After I'm done working through this with Pay Pal, I may go to law enforcement with this.

Police report would add to the claim most places a $750.00 theft is a felony
but as far as the police doing anything I had a mint 1960 Fender Stratocaster Mary Kay stolen out of my house
and a 45 hand gun got the gun back from the FBI trashed the FBI wanted to know how I was connected to the drug dealer that had the
gun I have no idea read the police report then years later the guitar surfaced online a vintage guitar store in Seattle I contacted SPD
it was pulled from the web sight they had that guitar listed for $125,000.00 I paid $14,000.00 still nothing years later
my so called friend that was the thief got five years in federal prison wire fraud sold that guitar 10 times online never delivered

So, here’s where things stand now. Currently, if the seller doesn’t respond to PayPal, it looks like I’ll get refunded, which is cool.

But, I still am going to make another call to USPS to make sure I‘ve got the details straight and add that info to my claim with PayPal, and I may go ahead and file a police report after I confirm things with USPS.

When this is all done, I may make a YouTube video describing this scam.

Oh. For sure. Report this to the cops. Probably won’t go anywhere since this sort of thing is really hard to trace. But you never know.

And sounding better than it did yesterday. Continued good luck with this.

Sorry I must have seen page 2 and carried on.
That is just unreal. Surely someone at fleabay will have info on the acyual seller. Get yer money back I hope soon.
Wow.

Good luck, not sure how many days it's been BUT in the past, USPS has told me things were delivered, and they were not....they'd show up a few days later. I once bought a guitar that came from Florida to NY (lived there then)....came in a gig bag with ZERO packing, no box, just a label stuck to the gig bag. I still can't believe USPS accepted it for delivery like that, and of course, the guitar arrived perfectly fine....but still....

I worked in a parts dept for years. Shipping and receiving was part of the job. I tended to over engineer packing something to be shipped to a customer. It may still arrived damaged…. But it wasn’t going to by my fault.

GREAT NEWS!

PAYPAL IS REFUNDING MY MONEY!!!

Every penny of it.

I literally just received the email notification from Pay Pal less than five minutes ago.

Thank God. This is a big relief.

In the end, the title of this thread is completely wrong. Again, my apologies to the USPS.

I believe the information provided by the USPS was crucial in making my case and was instrumental in the decision.

I've already sent an email to the USPS agent I worked with, thanking her for all of her help.
