your V has to many pickups and confusing knobs --- one Duncan Super Distortion is all you really need..................

Oh, it rocks! It's a little bit more harsh than my Marshall's, but in a good way. I'm thinking it would be great for punk type stuff. Not sure how long the stock JJs are going to stay in it. I have several GE and Sylvania 12AX7 and 5751 tubes laying around. They could have interesting effects on the harmonics.

I just put a GE 12AX7 in V1. I don't want to use any 5751s as all of the gain is usable. Also, don't buy one of these if you want to play clean. It doesn't do that well. Luckily, I don't do that much.

Awe, come on!… Set volume and gain at 12:30, and roll guitar volume back to around 6(to taste)…it gets clean-ish…
