So this is the story, and I'm sticking to it...
Remember my PGK SG junior built from a kit? The pickup cavity was properly routed for a dogear P90. I shoved a soapbar P90 in there, instead. I F'n assumed that the cavities for all P90s were all the same. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! You can see in the following pic what I'm describing. Fabbed a couple shims, then stained them, and simply pushed them in to cover the gaps:

I repurposed the goofy shims, by trimming them up and reinstalling them as flush as possible to the body top. They'll act as a guide for the P90 and support for the beauty ring that's coming:
