High Voltages After Headfirst Origin 50 Mod

I wish that I even had conversational knowledge of these amps. All I really do is change tubes and bias to keep them running...
Lol believe me : i know dick all about them either, just what everyone would tell me when i listen to them bash what i had versus something they perceived better. If i had some basic knowledge, my SLX wouldn't be lying in a coma right now and be fixed ( its been 2 months at least and still waiting on a tech to get freed up lol)

Since it seems I'm not so alone in my thinking, I've built 5 Marshall clones (JTM45, 1974X, 1987X, 2204X and Super100JH), all as close to the original specs as possible. They all have their own unique sound, as I hoped they would when I built them. Trying to get them to sound other than how they were originally designed would be anathema to me.

When I think of tones that I love, this one really moves me. It's not just the gain, but the clarity. It's not a really wildly unique tone, but it brings home the mail.

So Doug, what guitars and amps effects did you use to record "Push?"

"I brought my favorite gold top, which is an R7. It’s got my signature humbucker pick ups in it from John Suhr and Dunlop stainless frets.

That through my old JMP Marshall that I’ve had for years and years is always my basic go to sound.

Ben Grosse (producer) basically took that sound and manipulated it and made it really heavy – it’s great...."

nope...........................not gonna do it .............wouldnt be prudent.

Im with @syscokid ... get an ENGLE -- perfect EXCUSE to get a NEW AMP ;)

or spend 43.00 on a KLON ( ;) ;) ) klone ....and put it in front -- dude Im playing the origin now......I have EIGHT other amps ... the Origin 20 gets the most work out -- and with the KLON in front ......I can dial hot HEAVY RAWK to jazz cleans .... from the guitar across the room without touching poop on the amp or pedal across the room ......

AWESOME

What's the advantages??? I know that on a Headfirst mod, you loose a tube for the FX loop. Can you still use the stock FX loop plug ins on the back of the head with a Metro style loop???
From what i can see here: the Metro FX loop has to be used to give you back the FX loop you are basically going to rob from the Headfirst Mod and it taking away your FX loop preamp tube. So the factory loop seems to be null and void after the Headfirst mod.

As far as the Metro Loop fitting into the same slots as the existing one? Not sure, would have to look at it and the input hole requirements compared to whats there now. The Metro Loop though doesnt need its own tube as it taps out of the PI inputs. Kinda going by the design of older Marshalls like the JTM45, 1959,1987,JMP and JCM800s where a loop didnt exist to begin with

I will Absolutely need an FX loop, so I would need what he described as a Metro style FX loop, in addition to the standard Headfirst mod.
@syscokid did the Metro FX Loop on a JCM800 i do believe
I installed the Metro FX Loop module in both of my JCM800s. The V2 Amps FX loop module in my V2 Caldera is very similar to the Metro. Mojotone also offers an FX Loop module.

Well, I gotta be totally honest. I think it's more than I can take on, both from an experience and time standpoint.

But, I might hire one of our So-Cal amp gurus to do it if that's possible...
I certainly have the time, and also wouldn't mind molesting your amp. But, I live about 4 1/2 hours from you. AmpMadScientist lives about 15 minutes from me.
