Hernia Surgery

Just removed the bandage...doesn't look too bad. Definitely feels A LOT better without that cotton stuffed in there.

Yesterday, last night and this morning were pretty bad, but as soon as I took the wrap off and took the bandage off it feels 10 times better. I had to wait 48 hours before I could do that and get a shower. Now if I could only :poo: I'll probably be in good shape I think.
I get it man. Never had surgery like you had…. But had the privilege of root canal. My tooth hurt so bad I couldn’t sleep. Even shot up with novocaine, I could feel the pressure going away as the dentist did his thing. When you hurt that bad….. 25% better feels like 100%.

Another couple days you’re gonna feel like a new man.

Glad the recovery is going well! It won't be too long and you'll be 100% in a short time.

I had an Incisional Hernia in the center of my stomach from a botched gallbladder surgery. Not quite the same as an Umblical Hernia but very close in proximity as far as location. Hernias are a pain in the ass but the surgery isn't that bad, just a slow-feeling recovery for a couple weeks: namely you will have a hard time bending over and got to take it easy when lifting things for a couple of weeks( they say roughly the weight of a gallon of milk). Sometimes the docs will give you a girdle that while it's uncomfortable in mobility, it definitely helps from bending the wrong way and stressing the surgery site. So, might ask for one of those if its a lil hard moving around?

Best of luck man! It'll be a million times better after its done, i can verify that.

Yeah, I have the girdle thing, they called it a wrap. It actually makes it hurt more to wear it, but I'm supposed to keep it on for a month unless I'm sitting or laying down.
